A Musical Journey

The same instrument, in a large symphony orchestra, interacts harmoniously with other instruments, taking turns to shine. Like a tumultuous sea, what is often perceived is the majestic ensemble;

However, in a more intimate, smaller concert setting, its clear and pure tone becomes the essence of a gentle stream, where one can hear its mellow and whispering melodies, like gazing upon translucent drops of water in a creek.

Spotlight

The HKCO’s 48th season features a series of mini concerts including 3+1 Huqin Quartet and Plucked-String Notes Ruan. The audience gets to enjoy up-close the distinguishing sounds of the instruments in these intimate sessions.
